Aerosmith – Legendary Child – Patriots Anthem

Pepsi and the NFL got together to release anthems for seven select teams from popular artists. The teams featured include the Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions, New England Patriots, New York Giants, New York Jets, Oakland Raiders, and Pittsburgh Steelers. All songs are a free download here. I’m featuring Aerosmith’s theme for the Patriots since they are my favorite team.

Linkin Park – Burn It Down

Linkin Park recently released a brand new single and it is awesome! Vocally and lyrically, it is what you expect from them. The tune is what really gets me because it sounds so awesome. Experimenting with an electronic sound with A Thousand Suns paid off with this track and hopefully the others with their latest release, Living Things, due out in June. If their next album does sound similar to this track, then their next album will be fantastic! I’m really looking forward to it.

Casting Crowns – Glorious Day (Living He Loved Me)

My church is going to be singing this today. It’s a perfect song for Easter. It’s hard not to appreciate what Jesus Christ did for us after hearing a song like this. Happy Easter everyone! Don’t forget the importance of today 🙂

Great worship song. Absolutely love this one.

Disturbed – Shout 2000

This was oddly stuck in my head at work for a little while yesterday. It’s a great Tears for Fears cover. I haven’t heard it in a while, but it somehow popped in my head.

The Itsy Bitsy Spider

Another odd song got stuck in my head for a few moments today. This time though, there was a reason. I work at a salvage grocery store where I’m mainly outside. One particular customer brought her baby daughter and when she was getting ready to leave, she realized she had left her cellphone inside the store somewhere. Her baby was already buckled into her car seat, so she asked me to watch her while she went inside. While waiting, you could hear children’s music that was left on for the baby to listen to. The song that was playing was “The Itsy Bitsy Spider.” I didn’t really pay much attention to it, but when her mom came back, I sat down to eat some lunch. While eating, I started to sing the song to myself. After a few moments, I realized what I was singing and couldn’t help but laugh a little.

Céline Dion – Power of Love

This song was stuck in my head a lot today. Why? I have absolutely no clue. I haven’t heard the song in such a long time, yet somehow its verses found its way into mind and wouldn’t leave.

Freddie Mercury: The Google Doodle

Today when I first opened up my Internet browser, I was greeted to probably my favorite Google Doodle ever. Yesterday would have been Mercury’s 65th birthday, so Google decided to celebrate it by creating this doodle:

I’ve hardly listened to every song of Queen, mainly listening to them through a playlist I created on Grooveshark of their Absolute Greatest compilation album. I do enjoy them very much though. Today’s Google Doodle got me in the mood to listen to them, so I’m listening to the aforementioned playlist right now.
